We love going out to enjoy our surrounding areas and supporting local businesses. Last week, we had to satisfy our craving for Tex-Mex, so we headed on over to El 42 Cantina! Being from Texas, I love a good Tex-Mex meal with a margarita. Nothing’s quite as “muy bueno” than some good chips and salsa! Since we don’t border Mexico here, Mexican food isn’t on every corner, but we do have some special little spots we love to frequent. One of them is El 42 Cantina in Issaquah. Issaquah is a charming little town with a population of around 40,000 people. It’s located 15 miles southeast of Seattle, nestled in the Mountains to Sound Greenway. I enjoy my favorite seafood enchiladas here and Leighton typically gets the Carne Asada. What’s really special about this little place is not only the warm bar atmosphere (21 and up for this spot), but the SALSAs!! I don’t know which to tell you is best as I really can’t choose, but here’s the good news: at under 50 cents each, you can try them all while you sip on your delicious and authentic made-to-order margarita. If you want a tequila to sip on, the list to choose from is extensive!
Nestled in the charming downtown area of Issaquah, the experience of this place never disappoints. Definitely check it out!
